Digital Learning and Technology Inventory
Consider how are our students today are different from those of a generation ago.....
At the Melvin H. Kreps Middle School in East Windsor, NJ all of our classrooms are equipped with a teacher desktop computer, a bank of 5 student pc’s and 1 black/white printer. For direct instruction, each room has a Hitachi Starboard and software to develop interactive lessons. The Starboard has speakers, a handheld e-pad and wands with which to operate it. There is also a mini-projector called an ELMO which allows teachers to project and annotate documents or books through the Starboard. School wide, there are 6 classroom sized computer labs as well as a technology department which is responsible for instructing all students’ technology classes.
When asked for feedback about the types of technology utilized by Kreps teachers, many teachers were kind enough to respond and are included in the technology inventory. These are hot-linked and grouped by content area. Some also include teacher comments.
